A poetic approach to the geographical universe of Atahualpa Yupanqui: poetry workshop for students of the Luciano Argüello school in Cerro Colorado (Córdoba, Argentina)
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article is the result of the poetry workshop "Infinito Particular: una aproximación poética al universo geográfico de Atahualpa Yupanqui" (Particular Infinite: a poetic approach to Atahualpa Yupanqui’s geographical universe), taught remotely to students in the Luciano Argüello School in the town of Cerro Colorado, Province of Córdoba, Argentina. This workshop was initially planned as an in-person activity, later changed in view of the global health situation. This change brought with it several adaptations, especially in the methodological area. For this reason, two videos were recorded to introduce the author as the teacher and to describe the workshop proposal and its activities. The aim of the workshop was to stimulate students to read Yupanqui's poems, learn about his biography and his work, in order to understand how the singer-songwriter was inspired by landscapes and nature to compose his poems. Results show that not only Yupanqui's work is well known but also that it is present in everyday life. This was reflected in the writing and drawing proposals made in the workshop as well as in the construction of a previously unplanned category: collages.
